Scope of Work
MIWEC decommissioned a 250,000+ sq ft printing press facility that once served as Newsday’s headquarters. The site featured multiple chilled water lines, heavy press machines, boilers, IT rooms, and steel mezzanines that required phased takedown under tight structural and noise constraints.
The job included full press removal, recycling of structural scrap, utility disconnects, and restoration of the facility for handoff to a commercial redevelopment team.
